Since 13.12.2024, extended requirements of the EU Product Safety Regulation, also known as the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), have applied.
These primarily include information obligations.
These changes aim to increase product safety in the EU and at the same time establish clear responsibilities for the safety of products sold via online marketplaces.
At Avocadostore, the boxes "Hersteller" (= manufacturer) and "verantwortliche Person EU" (= responsible person in the EU) must now be filled out:
- Hersteller: Name of the manufacturer (trade name or registered trade mark), postal address and electronic address of the manufacturer to enable contact in the event of problems or queries.
- verantwortliche Person EU: if the manufacturer is not based in the EU: Name, address and electronic address of the responsible economic operator established in the EU. If the manufacturer is established in the EU, please enter the same information here as in the ‘Manufacturer’ field.
The box "Sicherheitshinweise" (= safety instructions) is optional and only needs to be filled out if there are actually safety instructions for the product.
You can enter the necessary data at product and offer level:
When creating a new product, you will find the corresponding boxes in the general product data.
If you want to add new variants to an existing product and create offers for them, you must enter the GPSR information at the "Angebote" level. You can either fill in the boxes for only the relevant variant by opening the detail view of the variant using the arrow on the right-hand side, or you can add the information to all variants of this product at the same time by filling in the boxes in the upper part of the display.
